Just as in the configuration of the Site Commerce system, the configuration of Site BillPay will vary depending upon the city and the organization’s business and security requirements.  For instance, some organiztions are designated as “agents” and are authorized to collect bills for the city and are able to receive a transaction fee from the city as well as a convenience fee from the bill payer.  Another example of a requirement which may vary concerns security:  It is always good practice to keep Internet traffic away from city systems, yet some organizations will want to create a Virtual Private Network between the city and organization's system.  Nevertheless, the transaction process of the Site BillPay application can be customized to fit your needs.
